The fourth edition of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) in Dubai will bring together CEOs and business leaders from some of the largest global and local companies to explore the latest advances in manufacturing technologies as organisations around the world continue to rapidly embrace digitalisation, forge new business models, and revitalise operations.

Scheduled to be held from November 22-23 at EXPO’s Dubai Exhibition Centre, the Summit will gather over 125 leaders from local, regional, and global governments and organisations to explore the evolving integration of humans and machines, reinventing businesses, repurposing capabilities, and rewiring societies. The GMIS 2021 agenda will shine the spotlight on topics such as Society 5.0, increasing digital mobility at work, sustainable manufacturing, gender equality, and the potential of Energy-as-a-Service.

Global CEOs and senior executives confirmed to speak at #GMIS2021 include, Patrick Byrne, CEO of GE Digital; Patrice Caine, Chairman and CEO of France’s Thales Group; Luka Mucic Member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer of SAP; Steven A. Highlighting the rapid growth of 5G telecommunication networks, Dr Steven H. Walker, Vice President and CTO of Lockheed Martin Corporation, Mohammed Kande, US Consulting Solutions Co-Leader and Global Advisory Leader of PwC, Ankur Bhan, Creator and Global Head of Nokia Worldwide IoT Network Grid, and Åsa Tamsons Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Technologies & New Businesses of Ericsson, will speak at a panel titled ‘Digitalisation: The 5G Wave of the Future is Here’. Patrick Byrne, CEO of GE Digital; H.E. Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the UAE’s Roads and Transport Authority; and Dr. Peter Gassmann, Global Leader of Strategy& and Global ESG Leader of PwC; will address the rising importance of Society 5.0 and the challenges associated with building a connected society.

The discussion will explore how North American and European economies can drive the decarbonisation of the manufacturing industry.

The six-day GMIS Week will feature over 125 global speakers, including the two-day GMIS 2021 Summit on November 22-23, a Global Prosperity Conference and an Alternative & Renewable Energy Conference on November 24. The GMIS Week will also feature country-focused conferences in partnership with the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and Italy. In addition, the event will run a six-day manufacturing and advanced technology exhibition to showcase some of the UAE’s most innovative capabilities.
