Saudi chemical company SABIC has teamed up with ISCC-certified German plastics experts Elkamet to provide its renewable polycarbonate resin to the lighting industry.

The polycarbonate solution, which was unveiled back in October 2019 is made from certifiable renewable feedstock and was launched as a part of the company's TRUCIRCLE project - a series of renewable products.
According to an in-house study, SABIC claim that use of their polycarbonate can potentially reduce carbon footprint by as much as 61%, with a fossil fuel usage depletion of roughly 35%.
