Uflex Limited made a big impact at the Propak China exhibition held from 11–13 July 2018 in Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), Shanghai, China. The company showcased its ASEPTO brand—an aseptic liquid packaging —as an exhibit, which won high appreciation for its unique holographic packs.
Through this, Uflex has successfully tested the interest level of global beverage manufacturers for holographic applications in aseptic liquid packaging. This has not only made Uflex the first Indian company to showcase the holographic packs in China, but also increased awareness of India’s strong manufacturing ability throughout the global beverage manufacturing marketplace. The ASEPTO holographic feature drew in attendees at the exhibition, as a unique way to promote their products and brands.
There is currently only one metallised pack on the Chinese market with a scope of 2bn packs per annum, but it has few options when it comes to superior aesthetics. Therefore, holographic packaging is set to be the new buzzword for Aseptic Packaging and will give brand owners countless opportunities to enhance their brand presence. With no major capex investment, brand owners can leverage the benefits of this new option.

The eye-catching holographic pack was appreciated for the fact that it holds the potential to escalate a brand’s sales growth thanks to the differentiation it would create at point-of-sale in retail stores and hypermarkets. Holography in packaging is a novel concept, which gives an edge to an existing line of products/brands and, simultaneously, helps companies launch new lines of products/brands to upscale their product portfolio.

Propak China showcased Uflex and ASEPTO’s core strength of innovation thanks to its innovations in holographic flexible packaging. A total of 16 countries visited the exhibition, with event participation from SSE Asia—20%; China—60%; the Middle East—10%; Africa—5% and Europe—5%.
