Tristone Flowtech
German hose manufacturer Tristone Flowtech Group has announced the completion of an expansion project and also broken ground on a new plant at its plastic pipes production facility in Walbrzych, in Lower Silecia, Poland.
The €3-million expansion programme, which aimed at expanding its production area to make space for new machinery, began in April 2018 and was completed in June 2019, said Tristone in a press release.
A central engineering laboratory has also been in operation since February.
“The Group spent €3-million on investments in the expanded plastic production facility as well as in machinery and equipment. We could reach, with our new plastic pipe products, a significant breakthrough in the market in the last years especially for engine and battery cooling applications,” said Günter Frölich, President & CEO, Tristone Group.
"In addition we are very pleased to have today the groundbreaking of a further plant expansion of 6,200 m² manufacturing and logistic space, which will double the hose production capacity in the next years", Frölich added. The new facility will see an investment of €7.4-million.
Currently employing 700 people in Poland, Tristone expects to increase the number of its staff by 200 over the next two years.
Tristone Flowtech Group specialises in fluid applications for motor and battery cooling as well as air charging systems. The Group is benefiting from the trend towards space and fuel consumption reduction with the introduction of polyamide materials and new powertrain concepts with hybrid and electrical cars and the integration of fluid motor and battery cooling systems.
Tristone Flowtech Poland supplies to a broad range of global automotive passenger car customers including Ford, Volvo, RSA, Nissan, FCA, PSA, Daimler, BMW, Suzuki, JLR, and Ferrari.
The Polish plant produces engine and battery cooling hoses, automated engine cooling hoses, wrapped hoses as well as single layer and multi-layer plastic pipes.
