TomTom has launched TomTom GO Basic, a sat nav that not jut takes you to your destination but provides you with connections to your smartphone, WIFI updates and your own personal digital assistant. The new product also includes Lifetime Maps, traffic updates and a three-month trial of TomTom Speed Cameras, all in the realms of a affordable price.
The TomTom GO Basic’s built-in Wi-Fi means that drivers no longer need to connect to a computer to get the latest maps and software updates. Additionally, by connecting your smartphone to your new TomTom GO Basic, it can verbalise your notifications such as text messages.
The TomTom GO Basic can adapt to your driving habits by predicting when you're likely to drive to frequent destinations saved in My Places and thanks to smart learning, these predictions become more accurate after frequent use of your device.

Mike Schoofs, Managing Director, TomTom Consumer, comments: “With the new TomTom GO Basic, we’re democratising powerful TomTom navigation for drivers everywhere. We’ve managed to bring the best of our technologies – from our famous traffic service to smartphone connectivity and over-the-air Wi-Fi updates – all packed in to a dedicated navigation device that’s our most affordable one yet.”
Holiday planning has become exciting now that you can discover the world's most epic driving routes from TomTom's route sharing community, TomTom Road Trips. By personalising your adventure up mountains, along coastal roads, into forests and beyond you'll have a holiday experience like never before thanks to TomTom My Drive.
