Skanska invests €44 million in new nine-storey building that will offer approximately 16,000 square meters of modern office space in a sought-after business location in Prague.
Designed by Richard Meier & Partners, the building is expected to receive both LEED Platinum and WELL certifications. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) focuses on energy consumption and sustainable materials, whereas WELL evaluates how does the working environment affect people inside.
Skanska is one of the leading developers and construction companies in Europe. Outside the Nordics, the company has its European operations in building construction and civil engineering located in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the UK. The company develops commercial properties in selected local markets in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary, and residential markets in Prague and Warsaw. The firm also offers services in public private partnerships. In 2017, Skanska had sales of SEK 37 billion and about 16,000 employees in its European operations.

Construction of the nine-storey building began at the start of September 2018 and its set to be completed during the first quarter of 2020.
