Euroairlines Group, the Spanish company specialized in air distribution, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Air Sierra Leone, the flag carrier airlines of Sierra Leone. This strategic alliance will allow the African carrier to increase its visibility, strengthen its sales network, and enhance its access to major global air distribution channels thanks to Euroairlines’ IATA plate Q4-291, present in more than 60 countries.

Headquartered in Freetown, Air Sierra Leone was founded with the aim of transforming air connectivity in West Africa through a point-to-point model that is agile and focused on passenger needs. In a landscape dominated by large network carriers, Air Sierra Leone is betting on a direct, flexible, and efficient alternative to meet the region’s growing demand for mobility.
As part of the agreement, Euroairlines will provide Air Sierra Leone with comprehensive distribution services, third-party connectivity, and operational support, all through a technological and commercial platform designed to foster the growth of emerging airlines in strategic markets.
“The agreement with Air Sierra Leone strengthens our commitment to Africa as a key region and to supporting new airlines with high development potential,” says Antonio López Lázaro, CEO of Euroairlines Group. “We are excited to support the international growth of Air Sierra Leone, a young and ambitious company with a clear vision for the future,” López Lázaro adds.
For his part, Emmanuel Iza, CEO of Air Sierra Leone, highlights that “the alliance with Euroairlines opens the door to markets we previously couldn’t reach.” “This partnership represents an opportunity to position ourselves as a key player in African air transport,” adds Iza.
The launch of Air Sierra Leone’s frequent service between London Gatwick and Freetown marks a major milestone for the airline and the region. With its first-ever entry now live in global distribution systems (GDS), the timing is ideal for UK travel agents to connect customers with this exciting new route.
With this agreement, Euroairlines reinforces its role as a strategic partner for emerging airlines seeking to expand internationally without compromising their identity or business model. With a robust and dynamic structure, the Spanish company continues to consolidate its position as a global enabler of air connectivity.
