After having taken over three companies last year, the logistics specialist has completed the largest expansion programme during the last few years and has significantly enhanced its range of services. In addition to automobile logistics, which has traditionally been the company’s mainstay, the logistics specialist has expanded its industrial and consumer goods logistics divisions. Alongside this, the company is pursuing a comprehensive electrification strategy, which is enabling industrial companies to use low-emission transport solutions for their standard operations.
“The ‘transport logistic’ fair is an ideal platform for us to present our innovative capabilities and our commitment to maintain sustainable transport solutions to an international specialist audience,” says Hakan Bicil, the CEO of Duvenbeck, explaining the company’s approach. “Thanks to our current expansion strategy, we can demonstrate in Munich that Duvenbeck has developed into a full-service provider for various industrial and commercial sectors in the international market – with a strong focus on sustainability.”
Experts from Duvenbeck will inform trade visitors about the opportunities of using electric trucks, which the company is now deploying for well-known industrial customers over fairly long distances. The company is planning, for example, to use electrically-powered trucks in future within a system that Hakan Bicil describes as a “pony express”. This represents a staggered transport system, where electric trucks each handle part of the route along particular sections and therefore enable end-to-end, fast and sustainable deliveries of goods.
The company has broadened its business base during the last two years in the form of new partnerships. Duvenbeck and the Chinese logistics group, Amass, for example, have joined forces to create a first-class logistics corridor between Europe and China, providing the entire range of sea freight services – with the clear goal of establishing an end-to-end international logistics connection and making use of a comprehensive and professionally managed network.
In addition to electrifying its transport logistics operations, digitalisation is another of Dubenbeck’s top priorities. A newly founded AI hub in Lisbon, which has been developed in cooperation with the technology partner, DLX, is supporting selected innovation and development initiatives within the Group.
Visitors are invited to discover more about the latest developments at the trade fair site, discuss matters with the management team and share ideas about innovative future projects with a practical orientation.
