Albanian automotive company Arrera Automobili has announced its plans to release a 840-horsepower supercar within the nation, sparking signfiicant progress for the country's automarket.

The Illyrian Pure Sport model is the brainchild of Albanian national Qendrim Thaqi, who is also the CEO of Arrera, and is to be the first supercar to be entirely designed and manufactured within the country's borders.

Thaqi announced he has already assembled a team of engineers and designers to undertake the project, wihch is due to commence any time soon.
The 28-year-old designer was born in Kosovo but currently lives in Germany, and was on the team that designed the Porsche 9RE.
He invisions the project as a successor to the Porsche 918 Spyder.
In a Facebook post announcing the project, Arrera Automobili said: “Pure Sport is designed by the same designer who designed the Porsche 9RE fan rendering, Qendrim Thaqi. Now, through his company Arrera Automobili, Thaqi wants to make the Pure Sport the first Albanian Supercar."
A series of posts have been released on the company's official Instagram page going into details about its production.
The car has vertical LED headlights encased in a carbon-fibre tie in vents with a massive air dam with a seperate splitter.

The vehicle will be powered by a 6.2-liter twin-turbocharged LT2 V8, clocking in at roughly 840 horsepower and a top speed for 375 kilometres per hour.
They have followed another automaker in the area, Croatia's Rimac Automobil, who manufacture electric hypercars, that have attracted the attention of luxury car producers looking to expand into the region.
