Thunder Laser has announced the global launch of the Thunder AccuMetal Series, expanding the company’s manufacturing technology portfolio into professional fiber laser metal cutting.
The move comes as manufacturers face shorter production cycles, increasingly customized orders, frequent design changes, and growing pressure to reduce dependence on outsourced metal processing.

For smaller manufacturers and businesses expanding their production capabilities, bringing metal cutting in-house can provide greater control over prototyping, production schedules, job changes, and delivery times. However, many companies remain caught between large industrial systems requiring significant space, investment, and specialist expertise, and entry-level equipment that may not provide the precision and production capability required for professional manufacturing.
Thunder Laser developed AccuMetal around this gap.
“Our customers’ businesses continue to evolve, and so do the tools they need,” said the Thunder Laser management team. “With AccuMetal, we want to help them take the next step into professional metal cutting with a machine they can rely on, backed by the support they expect from Thunder Laser.”
The company describes the Thunder AccuMetal Series as a high-precision metal cutting platform combining industrial performance with intelligent usability.
Two Platforms for Different Production Scales
The initial AccuMetal Series consists of two models.
AccuMetal 24 provides a 610 × 610 mm working area and is designed for precision components, electronics manufacturing applications, frequent job changes, small-batch production, and workshops where floor space is an important consideration.
AccuMetal 51 expands the working area to 1300 × 1300 mm, supporting larger sheets, larger components, and businesses with growing in-house production requirements.
Both systems use a 1500W fiber laser source as standard, with cutting speeds of up to 500 mm/s and ±0.02 mm repeat positioning accuracy. Acceleration reaches up to 2G on the AccuMetal 24 and 1.8G on the AccuMetal 51.
Simplifying the Metal-Cutting Workflow
Alongside cutting capability, Thunder Laser has focused on reducing the amount of manual setup required during everyday production.
The AccuMetal platform incorporates functions including:
- Automatic Edge Finding
- One-Click Nesting
- Material Parameter Presets
- Dynamic Real-Time Follow-Up Autofocus
- Autonomous Obstacle Avoidance
The system also includes an industrial control platform, a 21.5-inch operating display, a handheld controller, pneumatic sheet clamping, and support for air, oxygen, and nitrogen as auxiliary gases.
These functions are designed to support manufacturers dealing with frequent job changes and high-mix production, where setup time and operator workflow can be just as important as cutting speed.

From Precision Components to Sheet-Metal Fabrication
Thunder Laser is positioning AccuMetal for applications including precision components and job-shop production, SMT and electronics manufacturing tooling, custom sheet-metal fabrication, equipment components, automotive and new-energy prototype parts, and customized metal products.
The platform is particularly relevant to manufacturers that regularly handle fragmented orders, prototypes, small batches, and frequent design revisions, where outsourcing can create additional lead time and limit control over production schedules.
Expanding the Thunder Laser Manufacturing Portfolio
The AccuMetal launch represents a significant expansion for Thunder Laser beyond its established laser engraving, cutting, and marking systems into professional metal-processing equipment.
The company says the new product family is intended to give existing laser-processing businesses as well as manufacturers a practical route into in-house sheet-metal production, while maintaining an emphasis on accessible workflows and production flexibility.
The Thunder AccuMetal Series is now available globally.
