We are delighted to announce that sustainable packaging supplier Silgan Holdings Inc, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, USA, has signed an agreement to acquire all shares of Weener Plastics (WP). This strategic acquisition is aimed at enhancing the market positions of both parties, and providing new opportunities for innovation and growth.
The complementary Silgan and WP product portfolios offer a robust combination, and are expected to deliver new product development possibilities. The acquisition is anticipated to create a stronger entity, well-positioned to meet evolving market needs and expectations.
Completion of the acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, with finalization expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
