Uflex, India's largest flexible packaging company, and an emerging player in the global market, has been recognised for its innovative packaging at The Economic Times Polymers Awards 2019 held in Mumbai on 12 February.
The Asepto Spark 'Fresca' won in the category of Excellence in Packaging - Beverages (Large Enterprises) due to being the first holographic pack of the era.
Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Uflex president and CEO said on receiving the award: "The idea of our packaging innovation was to enhance the shelf appeal which was deprived in the printed cluster. Asepto Spark and Premium range filled that a void and created a new horizon of packaging for brands to look forward to."

This award certainly reinforces our belief that the unique and novel holographic packaging, we created, will change the outlook of aseptic liquid packaging market," he added.
Asepto offers a range of holographic patterns, foil stamping and multi-lens approaches. With Asepto, Uflex has adopted a backward integration strategy to move the innovative packaging strategy forward. Uflex also offers customisable designs for customers according to their specifications.

Indian beverage company Fresca has been working with Uflex for its packaging and the decision to add holographic features to its products gave the brand a distinct identity on supermarket shelves.
