Once a year, the “Deutschland Test” platform and “Focus Money” magazine determine which companies in Germany are best equipped to meet digital challenges. TKD Kabel has been participating regularly in these large-scale studies for the past three years. Following its wins in 2024 and 2025, the Nettetal-based company once again earned the “Digital Champion” label as the industry winner this year.
Award for Digital Transformation
For the cable specialist, the award confirms the manufacturer’s commitment to driving its own digital transformation forward. “We continuously invest in digital processes and modern technologies to make our internal operations more efficient,” says Christian Hohnen, Head of Marketing & Digital Sales Channels at TKD Kabel. “We are consistently working to further automate our processes to make collaboration with customers and partners even easier and more efficient.”
Find the Right Product Quickly with Digital Services
TKD Kabel supports its customers with a wide range of services, especially when it comes to quickly finding the right product in the application-specific version from its product range of several thousand cables, wires, and cable accessories. These services include a customer portal with intelligent filter functions and an alternative finder, as well as the ability to check inventory levels or create shopping lists.
Combined with video consultations and online tools such as the cable cross-section calculator, TKD Kabel has expanded its website into an information and service portal for the rapid, application-specific procurement of cable products. This is complemented by E-Solutions, which enable TKD Kabel to handle order processing entirely digitally and increasingly automatically via EDI and EPLAN.
A Perfect Score Earns the “Digital Champion” Title
This year’s data collection for the “Digital Champions” study covered approximately 16,500 German companies. The evaluation is based not only on the participants’ self-reported data but also on an analysis of online mentions through “social listening.” Companies that score 60 points or more are entitled to call themselves “Digital Champions” for one year. TKD Kabel achieved a perfect score of 100 points in its category, “Electronics Industry Companies,” making it the industry winner.
