In line with the ever-growing demand for sustainable and enhanced performance building material, Nordic-US steel company SSAB has introduced GreenCoat Crown BT, delivering durability and high colour retention in wall claddings and roofs.
Part of the GreenCoat premium steel range, featuring a coating made using sustainable Swedish rapeseed oil, SSAB has created one of the construction industry's most-environmentally friendly colour coated steel products.
GreenCoat Crown BT has been extensively tried and tested and developed to withstand the harshest climatic conditions whilst ensuring high colour retention in modular and lock form roofs, tile profiles, sandwich panels and wall cladding.

Combining UV radiation, corrosion resistance and bio-based technology, the result is a high performance, formable and easy to maintain construction product with colour consistency in the matt finish.
The demand for sustainable materials is on the rise. It was this demand that SSAB aimed to meet with GreenCoat. “Sustainability is no longer a choice among architects and builders. With our premium GreenCoat colour coated steels, we provide the most sustainable products with superior technical properties for the building industry,” says Olavi Huhtala, Executive Vice President SSAB Europe at SSAB Group.
GreenCoat Crown BT is the result of extensive product development collaboration involving consumer feedback, observing test results and utilising the expertise of our partners.
Available in regular gloss and matt finishes, the slightly textured appearance falls in line with modern architectural trends and the colour offering, inspired by Nordic nature, has been developed based on feedback from leading architects and builders.
