Swedish mining and infrastructure equipment maker Epiroc is to acquire South Korean hydraulic breaker manufacturer, DandA Heavy Industries, for an undisclosed sum.
Seoul-based DandA Heavy Industries produces and sells hydraulic breakers for the construction, demolition, rock excavation, quarrying and infrastructure sectors of the mining industry.
It has about 60 employees and had revenues in 2020 of about SEK210 million (€20.8 million).

"The acquisition of DandA Heavy Industries will strengthen our leading position on hydraulic attachment tools for the construction industry and supports our long-term growth strategy," said Epiroc President and CEO, Helena Hedblom.
The acquisition is expected to be completed at the end of the second quarter of this year. The business, which will become part of Epiroc’s tools and attachments division, will keep its brand and channels and continue to be based in South Korea.
