British aerospace manufacturer GKN Aerospace has signed a follow-on contract with Lockheed Martin for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) to run until 2025.

Along with the follow-on contract, an additional agreement was reached for a development contract set to begin in October 2021 for tooling, pathfinder units, and qualification necessary to manufacture the mid-section and seeker housing. Production of the PAC-3 MSE hardware will begin in 2024.
For more than 30 years, GKN Aerospace’s Fokker business has applied proven production methods and capabilities to successfully support the PAC-3 program with the development of lightweight composite launch tubes.

The PAC-3 missile is a combat-proven interceptor that defends against incoming threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and aircraft.
