Plantui, a Finnish developer and manufacturer of smart gardens, has partnered with the German group of companies BSH Hausgeräte GmbH with the first products positioned under the group’s Bosch brand.
Both companies announced this significant product development and manufacturing agreement during IFA Berlin. BSH, known for brand giants: Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau, is Europe’s leading home appliance manufacturer.
“We began in 2012 as a small but determined start-up, and on our journey since then we’ve developed our products and business. Plantui’s globally patented smart technology, combined with our quality and design, appealed to BSH,” stated Plantui CEO René Österman.

Partnering with Bosch allows Plantui to join the ranks of trusted home appliance brands and enter more homes worldwide.
“We share a vision of indoor gardens as an essential part of future kitchens and food preparation.”
“The indoor garden and food tech category is growing strongly worldwide right now. Plantui is responding to global mega-trends: environmental awareness, urbanisation and interest in food integrity and quality,” explained Österman. "With BSH we want to further develop better products for every home and kitchen. We will also continue our research and development of the vertical garden concept for professional users.”
Plantui has over 200 shareholders across 15 countries. The announcement of the new collaboration with a global business partner was positively received by Plantui’s investors during its previous funding round, which raised more than €1.4 million.
