Peab has been commissioned to build the new airport terminal in Sälen along with its accompanying garage and infrastructure for SEK 232 million.
The terminal, which will be around 6,000 m2, will include four gates and handle both domestic and foreign flights. The accompany garage will be 3,000 m2 and contain a fire station, workshop, washing facilities as well as space for the maintenance vehicles necessary for running a modern airport.
Peab has also been commissioned to build the infrastructure accompanying the terminal which will feature parking spaces and a connecting road to the Swedish Transport Administration’s new route for highway 1053. The project also includes building a seven kilometer water and wastewater pipe from Tandådalen to the new airport.

The project, that has already commenced, is a turnkey contract and completion is expected during August 2019.
