On July 26, the fourth edition of the LOZOVA MACHINERY Field Day gathered together 700 specialists from the agricultural sector from Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Poltava, Sumy and other regions of Ukraine, and also farmers from across the Baltic states and Europe.
The highlight of the annual Field Day is a large-scale demonstration of the full range of tillage and drill agricultural implements offered by LOZOVA in order to boost the efficiency and reliability for farming operations.
In particular, LOZOVA showcased its DUCAT 10 disc harrows with working widths of 2,5 m, 3m, 5m, 6m, 12m, and also two heavy disc DUCAT GOLD harrows with working widths of 6 and 8 m. The farmers were able to observe the machines at work and compare them with those of overseas competitors such as Lemken and Väderstad.

Proven results
But this is by no means the first time LOZOVA MACHINERY’s products have been shown to match the quality of world-leading agricultural machinery producers. At the Field Days of Nikolaev National Agrarian University (NNAU) a prototype of the DUCAT GOLD-6 heavy disc harrow showed results comparable with that of a leading Germany company.
“At Field Day NNAU we ran the competition between the novelty by LOZOVA MACHINERY and the leading heavyweight AMAZONE. The DUCAT GOLD-6 disc harrow showed its worth in terms of effectiveness and reliability. The durable working tools of DUCAT GOLD-6 cope with heavy loads, and the implement demonstrates the uniform mixing of the soil and stubble remains at the minimal depth (5 cm) as well as at maximum (20 cm). Despite the fact that there is plenty of organic mass, the working tools aren’t clogged,” says Nikolay Karpenko, head of the scientific and research department of Science Institute of Innovative Technologies of NNAU.
It is worth noting that since 2018 the system of changeable rollers has been implemented in the entire range of DUCAT disc harrows – both short-hoeing ploughs and heavy implements. Depending on the type of crop and climatic conditions, the farmers can choose from five modifications – tooth, rubber, pack ring, U-shaped, and standard cage rollers.
“Durability, adaptation for work in heavy conditions and the possibility of modifying the roller configuration choosing can satisfy every farmer’s needs,” said Roman Girshfeld, Vice-President Sales and Marketing at LOZOVA MACHINERY.
Visitors to the event were also able to witness other machines in action, including the recently updated GULDEN and FRANC subsoilers, and SHILLING cultivator SHILLING. Following the upgrades, the GULDEN and FRANC subsoilers can now be equipped with support wheels and HARD-SHELLТМ wearproof working tools. As for the SCHILLING cultivator, its main innovation is the equipping with rubber support wheels.

Increasing global potential
In short, at Field Day farmers were able to confirm the value of purchasing domestically produced agricultural machines – and as an added incentive they would be compensated by a quarter of the cost. The entire LOZOVA MACHINERY product line is subject to state compensation programmes, allowing farmers to save money by updating their machine and tractor fleets.
The LOZOVA MACHINERY Field Day was held at the peak of the Greentour demonstration tour, during which the company visited 10 out of 20 countries throughout the world. As a result, it has successfully entered new markets including Germany, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Georgia, and Armenia. On September 11–13 LOZOVA MACHINERY will be the only Ukrainian company to demonstrate the achievements of Ukrainian agricultural engineering at the largest exhibition of the North American continent - Canada's Outdoor Farm Show.
"For us, this is an opportunity to expand the export potential with the further prospect of supplying equipment to other countries in North America," says Roman Girshfeld. He concludes: "We continue to maintain leadership on the market for proven and effective solutions, and every year more and more farmers are convinced that with LOZOVA MACHINERY - MONEY REALLY WORKS! ".
