Lantmännen Unibake UK invest £1.1 million in Milton Keynes with a plant expansion responding to increased growth in the gourmet burger market.
The company have stated that they are committed to meeting the increasing needs of their customers demand for high-quality gourmet burgers.
"Not only is the UK burger market currently worth £3.3 billion, but its popularity continues to grow, with growth in 2017 up by 3 percent." Managing Director of Lantmännen Unibake UK stated.

"To meet this demand and ensure our customers are able to continue serving their customers on-trend, gourmet and quality classic buns, we are investing in our production capabilities, with this upgraded line being the first step in many."
A new automated packaging system and quality vision system have been added to the production line and intend to boost total capacity weekly by 10 percent, reduce waste and improve quality standards.
Lantmännen Unibake UK stated that across the market there is now a higher expectation of producing a superior-quality product due to the increase of consumers investing in the gourmet burger industry.
At the end of 2017, it was revealed that consumers will pay up to £1.25 more for a gourmet burger according to Opeepl, Classic & Gourmet Burger Consumer Research.
Lantmännen Unibake's classic buns are made using a traditional American recipe and method to give it an authentic and distinctive taste and texture.
