innogy SE has acquired another gas supplier in Croatia, thereby expanding its business in the region of innogy SEE (Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia) out. After purchasing a majority package in the city of Koprivnica in early 2017, innogy acquires the network and distribution company Montcogim-Plinara based in Sveta Nedelja. Montcogim-Plinara generated sales of around EUR 11.4 million in 2016 and has 25 employees. The company operates in six cities in the Zagreb region, has a 370 km gas network and supplies 11,000 customers. The company's gas network is considered the most modern in Croatia. "With the acquisition of Montcogim-Plinara, we are pursuing the goal of expanding our position in Croatia and, in particular, driving forward the consolidation of the Croatian gas market. Following the acquisition of Montcogim-Plinara, innogy has around 35,000 customers in the Croatian gas market and is now the third largest supplier. Innogy has been active on the Croatian electricity market since 2013 and is currently the country's second-largest provider with around 120,000 customers.
