GEZE GmbH and Priva BV have signed a letter of intent to expand their collaboration on building automation systems and solutions. Energy efficiency, safety and comfort are among the most important requirements in the field of building automation - anywhere in the world. In order to be able to optimally implement these requirements, integration of all required elements into a building is of great importance. The prerequisites for this are cooperation and the interdisciplinary cooperation of different trades, so that the "Internet of Things" becomes a recognized truth.
In the construction sector, the BACnet communication standard ensures open communication and interaction between the trades. Priva and GEZE have been using this standard for years, so that their cooperation can begin at this point.
Both companies are developing their automation products and solutions with the open standard. "That's why these solutions are highly compatible, so we create excellent value for our customers and end users. This allows us to provide flexible solutions for specific customer requirements, "says Brigitte Vöster-Alber from GEZE. "This means that we can respond to building automation challenges faster and in greater detail," adds Privy's Meiny Prins. Priva and GEZE confirm the positive impact of this collaboration today and in the future, especially in terms of the benefits that their customers will have.

In order to implement this declaration of intent, joint working groups will be formed around optimized building automation and visualization in order to explore and strengthen synergies in the areas of energy efficiency and building comfort.
An important goal is to provide customers and end users with the right combination of security and convenience features for intelligent visualization, transparent monitoring and efficient control of networked building automation. This enables climate control, energy saving, the optimal reuse of water and much more. Not only in functional buildings such as office buildings, shopping centers, hotels or hospitals, but in horticulture and greenhouses.
