FrieslandCampina takes over activities of Best Cheese Holland, acquiring brands such as Parrano and Tjiezi in response to the high demands from consumers to use more cheese in cooking and for dairy snacks.
The notorious cheese brand Parrano is famous for its cheese flakes, grated cheese and powder cheese in Italian style and is sold by major Dutch retailers. Parrano is one of the fastest growing consumer brands in in the dairy sector. With the acquisition of dairy dipper activities, including Tjiezi, FrieslandCampina will capitalise on growing demands for dairy snacks in Europe, Asia and North America. The dippers are sold by both retailers and international discounters. The acquired activities will be integrated in FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy from 15 September 2018.

FrieslandCampina and Best Cheese have also reached an agreement in principle on the acquisition of the import and sales activities of Best Cheese in the United States of America. This acquisition will take place after agreed conditions have been met. Financial details will not be disclosed.
