Croatian fertiliser producer Petrokemija said on Monday it has cut NOx emissions in its nitric acid production plant DUKI-2.
Petrokemija achieved its goal by implementing the active emissions control technology system, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), which it engineered in cooperation with Czech company Chemoprojekt, it said in a Zagreb bourse filing.
The company earlier implemented a project to cut nitrous oxide emissions at the same plant.
The cost of the two investments in DUKI-2, which have helped Petrokemija meet environmental requirements, is some 10 million kuna ($1.6 million/1.3 million euro).
