
Recent news from emerging Europe is that the German car parts supplier Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC) is expanding its production and logistics base in Bulgaria.
The expansion, already underway, will increase the company’s output by 80% and create 150 jobs, according to a spokesperson. It is expected to be completed by March 2019.
BHTC’s products for the automotive industry include control panels and units for vehicle air conditioning, climate sensors and blower controllers. Besides its headquarters in Germany and the Bulgarian facilities, it is also present in the US, Mexico, China, Japan and India. Its major clients include Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo and Porsche.
