
Autosan sp. z o.o., a major polish bus producer and one of the oldest companies in the country, strongly maintains its leading position in the industry after 186 years. Started in Sanok, a town located in south-eastern Poland, its first bus factory was created in 1832.
On March 30th 2016, Autosan was taken over by a consortium consisting of PIT-RADWAR and Huta Stalowa Wola - both members of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (the Polish Armaments Group). PGZ is a leading manufacturer of army equipment and brings together more than 60 companies. Autosan is backed by the PGZ’s economic potential and the group’s annual sales are estimated at PLN 5 billion, which is more than €1 billion as well as its expertise in the sector. The company are recognised for its activities under the name of Autosan sp. z o.o. (limited liability company).
