The first model of the second generation Audi Q3 has left the production line at Audi's Hungarian site in Győr. There are four versions of the premium compact urban off-roader: three petrol and one diesel, with front-wheel or four-wheel drive.
For the production of the new, sporty second generation Audi Q3, a new 80,000m2 bodywork facility was set up and 700 new robots were installed. The production hall was built in a record year and a half. Over 1000 employees have been trained in the manufacture of the Audi Q3 in this time.
The Audi Q3 is the fifth model to be produced at Győr, alongside the Audi A3 Limousine and Cabriolet and the Audi TT Coupé and Roadster.

Audi Hungaria's annual production capacity is 160,000 vehicles, making it one of the largest car manufacturers in Hungary. Of the 12,500 employed by the company as a whole, some 4500 work in Hungary.
"Nearly every third outbound Audi is an off-road vehicle. The production of the Q-model is a great acknowledgment of the Hungarian manufacturing site, which will strengthen the competitiveness of Audi Hungaria and ensure the company's long-term success," said Achim Heinfling, Chairman of the Board of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt.
