Serbia tries again to sell state-owned air maintenance company

by

Serbia's Ministry of Economy has relaunched a call to sell off its 99.4% share of JAT Technika, the state-owned air maintenance company. The price stands at €10.24-million, which is 50% of the company's assessed market value, according to a report by the country's news agency, Tanjung.

According to Tanjung, requirements for potential foreign or domestic investors include a minimum of five years experience in aircraft maintenance, an annual income of €40-million as well as the relevant certificates.

The deadline for submission of investment bids is October 4th.

The Serbian government's second attempt at privatising JAT Technika comes after no bids were submitted to the original tender, which was announced in June and closed on July 31.
