French multinational industrial gas supplier and service provider Air Liquide announces the acquisition of two key historic players in the home healthcare business. The move further develops the company's activity in the sector and strengthens their overall presence in Europe.
Megamed AG specialises in ventilation and support for patients with respiratory failure and has been present in the Swiss market for almost 50 years.
Sleep & Health SA, also based in Switzerland, offers home healthcare services for patients with sleep apnea.

Air Liquide has been present in Switzerland for many years through its subsidiary Carbagas and supplies hospitals and patients at home with their medical gas needs. The latest two acquisitions both reinforce Air Liquide's position and allow the company to diversify its home healthcare offering.
François Jackow, member of the Air Liquide Group’s Executive Committee, supervising Healthcare activities, said, “We are happy to welcome the teams from Sleep & Health and from Megamed to the Air Liquide Group. The French firm has stated it intends to build on the quality of the new acquisitions' exisiting teams and continue to pursue the two firm's business activities.
