Acronis, a global leader in data protection and data storage in the hybrid cloud, today announces its strategic partnership with Google Cloud. Acronis plans to improve its backup solutions by integrating with the Google Cloud platform.
The agreement will significantly increase the number of cloud regions where Acronis' customers and partners can store their data. Thus, customers can now use fast upload speeds and data sovereignty options in many more countries.
The Google Cloud platform will be integrated into future versions of Acronis Backup, Disaster Recovery and File Sync and Share solutions. This extension enables Acronis partners to expand their business by providing easy and fast data protection services to millions of customers already using the Google Cloud platform.

Easy access to the Google Cloud platform also helps users reduce their Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and reach their Service Level Agreements (SLA), especially in disaster recovery scenarios.
"Integrating Google Cloud with Acronis Backup products is one of our users' most frequent requests," said John Zanni, president of Acronis. "There are many companies that have invested in this public cloud infrastructure. We're now making it easier for these companies to use this infrastructure with Acronis. "
Acronis plans to add support for Google Cloud workloads as part of the integration. It also works on a Google Cloud deployment model for the Acronis Backup Management Server and the option to use the Google Cloud Platform for disaster recovery scenarios.
This evolution opens up new opportunities and added flexibility for Acronis partners to help their customers meet their data protection needs through the Google Cloud platform.
Acronis' data protection solutions already provide native integration with numerous public cloud providers, widely used hosting automation platforms, and remote monitoring and management tools. Acronis products are designed for the cloud and set up to secure all data in all environments. These include, for example, cloud workloads, data centers, local (on-premise) locations, remote offices, and mobile devices.
Partnering with Google Cloud is a logical step for Acronis and demonstrates Acronis' commitment to its partners and customers to provide both comprehensive data protection and a highly flexible data management option.
"We see an increasing number of customers using our storage products for their data protection because they often offer better flexibility, performance and cost-effectiveness," said Adam Massey, Director, Strategic Technology Partners, Google Cloud. "By partnering with Acronis, a well-established leader in the industry, we want to further simplify our customers' journey to data protection."
