Adrian Fuchser was obviously thrilled. With a big laugh, the managing director of SCHNEEBERGER AG Lineartechnik boarded a Witschi excavator and dug the first hole. "I'm extremely happy," he said with equal joy to the invited guests. "I took over my duties five years ago and even then a new building was a topic. That we are soon so far, I am thrilled. "In fact, the responsible person Schneeberger had to wait long enough for this construction. Already in the summer of 2011, the first projects of architects were examined, that of the company Müller and partners from Langenthal culminated in a building application, which was made on 6 December 2011. A lot has happened within six years, but what lasts long will finally be good - or even better in this case.
A floor area of 1800 square meters
First, the project of Roggwiler company was delayed by objections, before the franc shock in 2015, a shift in the list of priorities resulted. With far-sighted planning, Schneeberger AG Lineartechnik decided to first improve its internal processes before investing further. "We were able to learn a lot during this time. We also used this for our hall and revised the project, "continued Fuchser. They tried to get as much out of the project as possible and to strive for the optimum within the bounds of what is possible. On a floor area of 1,800 square meters, a hall will now be built on the ground floor of which the small high-precision rails, the so-called "MINIRAIL", will be produced. Undoubtedly a growth market for the approximately 280 employees of the Roggwiler company.

Exciting anticipation
After the protracted project phase, the ground-breaking ceremony took place on this year's Samichlausentag - six years after the first application for a building permit. It is planned that on October 31, 2018, the construction will be completed, leaving about two months to move. On 1 January 2019, the hall is to be put into operation, until then hopes the Schneeberger crew on appropriate weather, so that the schedule can be met. "When this project was started, we were not under time pressure. We were able to spend enough time and plan far-sightedly and intensively, "remembers Adrian Fuchser at the start of the project. "Today, however, we definitely need this hall urgently." Spatially, the staff in the main building are slowly reaching their limits, so that the extension will be completed just in time at the end of next year. With a view to the future, the joy of the starting signal fired by the employees of Schneeberger Lineartechnik has already turned into anticipation. Especially in economically challenging times, this is an exciting as well as nice anticipation.
